HOW TO APPLY
All applications for Initial Teacher Training must be made through the UCAS website here
We are now open for the 2020/2021 year.
To be eligible to join our programme you must:
Hold a first degree from a UK higher education institution or equivalent qualification (we prefer candidates with a classification of at least a 2:2 but will consider exceptional candidates with a 3rd class degree).
Have a standard equivalent to a grade C / level 4 in GCSE examinations in English and Mathematics.
Have a standard equivalent to a grade C / level 4 in GCSE examination in a science subject for those applying to the primary course.
Successful complete the professional skills tests prior to prior to entry.
Be suitable to work with children (this will include being subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) criminal records checks including a check of the children’s barred list).
For salaried positions we also ask for 3 years work related experience (in education or industry)
In addition to the above, successful applicants will be expected to have suitable health and physical capacity to teach. Candidates may be asked to complete a fitness questionnaire prior to commencing the programme.
