The overall aim of the English component of the ITT programme course is to enable trainees to inspire, engage, stimulate and promote students’ learning through the teaching of outstanding English lessons.

Trainees will develop their subject knowledge throughout the course considering in greater depths the different aspects of learning and teaching related to English. Through discussion with the subject mentors and class teachers, trainees will also develop awareness and understanding of particular aspects of their subject and how this effect students’ progression in lessons.
